Energy efficiency assessment

What does an energy efficiency assessment consist of? An assessment of the existing project is made and of the measures recommended in terms of thermal insulation to be applied in the construction. If the project measures are insufficient, changes to the project are proposed and a report with new solutions is presented.

All details must be defined in terms of solutions to be implemented. The solution to be built on-site must specify how the work is to be carried out, using detailed technical drawings, where it is clearly understood how the work is to be carried out, what the materials are, and what their quality is.

An assessment is made of the cost/benefit ratio of the solution to be applied, both immediately and during the use of the building in question (important for gauging consumption/costs of energy resources). This work must be taken to the point of presenting cost/maintenance studies that demonstrate the benefit in terms of comfort and cost of the solution to be implemented.

This work involves the execution of a thermal rehabilitation project.

Examples of energy efficiency measures:

  • Detail of the application of "capoto systems" in the transition zones of all constructive elements present in the architectural project.
  • Treatment of various thermal points (points where humidity or heat passes through)
  • Hydraulic insulation in various architectural elements (gutters, drains, terraces, roofs, etc.)
  • Advising on the choice of active heating and cooling equipment/systems
  • Cost studies on solutions to be applied (purchase, maintenance, and utilization costs)
